When you join us on a cigar factory tour, the first thing I want you to know is this: these are real working factories. Their main job isn’t to host visitors — their main job is to make cigars. That’s why every place you visit feels different.

Some factories have a dedicated guide who will walk us through, others will let one of their own people — sometimes even a master blender or someone from the family — show us around. That’s part of the charm. There’s no “script,” no tourist routine. What you see is real life happening inside. Workers rolling cigars, sorting tobacco, packaging boxes — and we’re right there in the middle of it.

Each factory has its own character. At La Aurora, the oldest cigar factory in the country, you feel the weight of tradition the moment you walk in. At La Flor Dominicana, you’ll notice the energy — bold cigars, bold people, and a lot of passion behind everything they do. And at La Palma, it feels more intimate, almost like stepping into a family workshop where history and innovation come together.

That’s why no two tours are the same. Every time, it’s a new story, a new connection.

FAQs We Hear All the Time

Can I add a tasting to the tour?
Of course. Many guests like to pair the cigar experience with coffee, rum, whiskey, or even artisanal chocolate. Just let us know and we’ll arrange it.

Do I need to carry ID?
Yes. It’s required at the factory entrance and especially for alcohol tastings.

What should I wear?
Keep it light and comfortable — remember, it’s a warm country. But also think “smart-casual.” Factories are working environments, so closed shoes are better. And trust me, it’s much nicer to have a photo with the factory owner or master blender if you look neat, not like you just came from the beach.

Are tours accessible?
Factories aren’t built like museums. There might be stairs or uneven floors. If you have mobility needs, tell us in advance so we can plan the safest way.

How long is the tour?
Usually about 1.5 to 2 hours. Enough time to see the process without feeling rushed.

Where do we meet the guide?
It depends on the factory. Don’t worry — once you book, you’ll get the exact details in your confirmation.

Do you provide transportation?
Yes, we can pick you up from your hotel for an extra fee. In Santiago and Tamboril this is very useful because factories aren’t always easy to reach by bus — but taxis work fine too.

Where do you operate tours?
Mainly in Santiago, Tamboril, and Santo Domingo — the heart of Dominican cigar culture.

Why choose us?
Because we keep it small. Two to eight people, not big buses. That way, you can ask questions, have conversations, and really enjoy the experience. It’s not a show — it’s the real cigar world, and we want you to feel part of it.
