Take a seat at a traditional cigar rolling table and learn how a handmade Dominican cigar comes together. An experienced torcedor guides you through the main stages of construction, from selecting prepared tobacco leaves to forming the bunch, applying the wrapper, and finishing the cap. This is a hands-on experience for beginners and cigar enthusiasts, not a professional certification course.

What Happens During the Workshop?

Your instructor introduces the three construction components of a cigar: filler (tripa), binder (capote), and wrapper (capa). You will also learn how leaf classifications such as seco, viso, and ligero can influence a blend. The session then moves to supervised rolling practice using traditional tools and techniques appropriate to the instructor and venue.

You can practice arranging filler leaves, forming a bunch, applying the binder and wrapper, and finishing the head of the cigar with a tobacco cap. The torcedor assists with the steps that require experience or sharp tools. Techniques such as entubar may be demonstrated when available; they are not a guaranteed part of every workshop.

What Will You Take Home?

The number of cigars you make or receive depends on the workshop arrangement and your group. Ask for the confirmed cigar quantity before booking. Personalized bands, Spanish cedar presentation packaging, and other keepsakes may be arranged separately with advance notice. Freshly rolled cigars may need time to rest before smoking; your instructor can explain appropriate handling and storage.

Factory production areas and aging rooms are not automatically included; access must be confirmed separately.
