Small group, plenty of Q&A

Only a few of us on the tour, so the supervisor walked us through pressing molds and banding without hurrying.

Ended in a quiet lounge corner with a house cigar and coffee. Felt authentic and welcoming.

Great insight on sorting colors

Loved the part where they compared wrapper shades and explained box consistency. You can smell how different the aged leaf is in that room.

Small group of six, plenty of time for photos and questions, plus water on hand.

Easy pace for first-timers

Good intro for a first factory visit. The guide slowed down at the rolling tables so we could watch hands and tools up close.

Wish there was a bit more on fermentation steps, but the tasting cigar and Q&A made it worthwhile.

Well-organized tour with good pacing. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice to see a boutique operation that values quality over mass production.

As someone who smokes cigars regularly, I appreciated Don Rey's commitment to small-batch, quality production. The tour was well-paced—not rushed, but also not overly long. The rolling floor was impressive to see, and watching the torcedores work with such precision was eye-opening. The sorting and aging areas gave me a newfound respect for the time and effort that goes into every cigar. A solid tour experience overall.

An authentic, intimate experience that felt like visiting friends. The cigar tasting was exquisite and the coffee was fresh. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful experience. Don Rey Cigars factory in Santiago is not just a tour—it's a journey into the heart of Dominican cigar culture. The family's dedication to quality is evident in every detail. I loved how our guide explained the leaf-sorting and rolling techniques with such care. The fact that they include a tasting cigar and Dominican coffee shows they're not just going through the motions; they genuinely want you to enjoy their craft.

Great factory tour with knowledgeable guides. Small group format was perfect. The only thing I would have appreciated was more time in the aging room.

Don Rey Cigars exceeded my expectations. The small-group format really does make a difference—we got personalized attention and could observe the rolling process up close. The guides were experts in their field. I particularly enjoyed learning about the Reyes family's century-long history with tobacco. If there's one suggestion: I would have liked to spend more time in the aging room, as that's where the magic really begins.

Outstanding! The tasting cigar at the end was perfection paired with their Dominican coffee. Staff was warm and genuinely interested in our experience.

I'm not usually a cigar person, but this tour completely changed my perspective. The Don Rey Cigars factory tour made me appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication behind each stick. What impressed me most was the staff's warmth—they treated us like friends, not tourists. The tasting cigar paired with fresh Dominican coffee in their lounge was a memory I'll treasure forever.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The small group setting made it personal and intimate. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about every step of the process.

My visit to Don Rey Cigars was one of the highlights of my entire Dominican Republic trip. From the moment our small group arrived, I felt welcomed and valued. The guide, Jorge, took us through the factory floor with such passion and knowledge—he didn't rush us; instead, he let us linger at each station, answering every question we had about the rolling process, leaf selection, and aging techniques.

Coffee plus a tasty house stick

They start you with coffee before heading onto the floor. I appreciated how the supervisor paused to show how wrappers are inspected for color and texture.

We smoked a house cigar while seeing boxes packed. Simple, genuine visit that feels close to the work.

Calm, tidy floor in Santiago

Small operation, spotless tables, and everyone seemed open to questions. We watched pressing, then moved to aging where the aroma changes are obvious.

Guide mentioned they keep batches small to control flavor. The complimentary cigar during the walkthrough was a nice touch.

Loved watching buncheros work

You stand right by the rolling gallery and see buncheros and rollers moving through Saga cigars with calm focus. No loud machines, just steady hands.

They let us smell sorted tobacco and explained why color matching matters. Ended with a fresh stick and water in the lounge area.

Warm welcome and smooth tour

Our guide Ana walked us through each room without rushing. Watching the bunchers work up close made it clear how deliberate the pace is here.

They poured strong Dominican coffee and handed us a house cigar so we could taste while asking questions. Felt personal, not staged.
