About this experience
Cremo is right in the historic center of Puerto Plata, about a 5-minute walk from Central Park. When you arrive, they'll offer you a welcome drink—usually Mama Juana or coffee—then walk you through the production floor.
You'll see the rollers working at their tables. They're fast—some can roll 200+ cigars a day. The guide explains what leaves they use, how they prepare tobacco, and why Dominican tobacco is different. You can touch and smell different leaf types if you want.
The basic tour takes about an hour and includes a Cremo cigar to take home. If you want to try rolling your own cigar, they offer a workshop for an extra fee. There's also a spot with old Cremo signs where people take photos.
It's open Monday-Saturday 8 AM-5 PM, Sunday 9 AM-4 PM. Good option if you're already walking around Puerto Plata's downtown and have an hour free.

“Learned a lot about how cigars are made”
I knew very little about cigars before this tour. It was interesting to learn why different leaves are used and how much skill goes into rolling a cigar properly. The guide explained everything in a simple way and I left knowing much more than when I arrived.

“Great guide and very easy to understand”
The guide made the tour much better for us. He was friendly, patient, and explained the cigar process in a way that was easy to follow, even for people who don't know much about tobacco. He answered all our questions and did not rush the visit. You can tell he knows the factory and enjoys sharing the story behind cigars.

“The process for how everything was made”
I really enjoyed the black bird tour

Las dos fábricas estaban estupendo y el lounge. Aprendimos muchísimo

“Loved seeing the rollers at work”
Really nice visit. Watching the rollers work was my favorite part. The staff was friendly and the cigars were great.

“Great way to spend a morning in Santiago”
We were looking for something different to do while visiting Santiago and found this tour. The factory wasn't huge, which actually made it better because it felt personal. I liked being able to watch people working instead of just looking at displays. Everyone was friendly and patient even when our group asked a lot of questions. If you're curious about cigars, it's definitely worth a visit.
